St. Armands history goes back long before their new sanctuary was designed; we are happy to be a part of it. Few other sites on St Armands Key are as noticeable as the 25-foot tall steeple attached to the top of the sanctuary roof. Structural systems were unique in that the glulam columns and trusses inside are not for show. They are the actual structural system. Load-bearing masonry walls surround the remainder of the building, and purlins are used across the glulam trusses to support the roof sheathing.
